Quick Trip

We are on a short trip in Bethesda, MD. I may not be posting for a couple days. The hotel's great and there's a cool band outside. There's also the best restaurant I've ever been to called Morton's around here. I gotta sleep now.

What would you do?

I couldn't help reading this post on the Google Blogoscoped Forum.
If you were given the right to decide inclusion of three new products to Google. Two to develop internally, one by acquiring another company or its product. What would they be?

It is preferred that you don't refer to the current suspected projects (like Google Drive, or Google Presentation)
Here's what I would do:

Internal projects:

Google Virtual Tour – See a house, apartment, airplane, or anything with Google Virtual Tour. View in real time by installing mini Google cameras into your location, or use Google Earth data. You may also use your own footage. Unlike other virtual tour programs, you can view in high quailty so it feels like you're inside of the place! Disclamer: Footage may be sold to other compaines.

Google Pets – Do you need pet information quick, but cheap? Don't spend $100 on pet books you'll never read, just use Google pets! For only $5 a month, have access to a wide range of pet information! Whether it's how much Vitamin C a guinea pig needs to how often to groom your dog, we've got it all.

External company:

Wikipedia – Wikipedia will now be called Googpedia. Have access to everything Wikipedia has, but will now include relevant ads, Google Groups talk pages, and other great new features. You can also publish segments of articles to your Blogger blog in a single click!

Blogger Beta

Blogger is testing a redesign at beta.blogger.com today. I was able to create a new account and snag these screenshots. I also made a test blog which you can view here: Test Blog. I love the new redesign. I can't wait until I can incorporate it here.

Things I Found On Google #17

Gwigle

Gwigle is an educational game to help you use Google more effectively. It gives you a sample Google Search with the word(s) searched blanked out in question marks. You have to figure out what is being searched by looking at the other words in the search results, number of results, and sponsored ads. A similar game is What Did I Search For? on Games For The Brain by Philipp Lenssen of Google Blogoscoped. Some of these can be really hard, while others can be easy.

Buttons

I have made these 3 buttons so that if you would like to like to my blog, you can. I'm also giving credit to the Button Maker by Adam Kalsey.

This is the code to display them:

<a href="http://jakeslifeandview.blogspot.com" class="noborder"><img src="LINK GOES HERE" width="80" height="15" alt="Jake's View" border="0"/>

Replace LINK GOES HERE wth one of these links:

Button 1 -
Link: http://thejakem.googlepages.com/button.png

Button 2 -
Link: http://thejakem.googlepages.com/button-2.png

Button 3 -
Link: http://thejakem.googlepages.com/button-1.png

If you choose button 3, the code will look like this:

<a href="http://jakeslifeandview.blogspot.com" class="noborder"><img src="http://thejakem.googlepages.com/button-1.png" width="80" height="15" alt="Jake's View" border="0"/>

And the button will look like this:
Jake's View
You can put it anywhere on your site.
